If your bicycle/scooter was shipped to you. It will be partially disassembled for shipment and packed in a shipping carton box. Although packed for shipment, your bicycle will still arrive 80% assembled. Assembly will require attaching pedals, front wheel, handlebars with stem and saddle. You'll need basic multi tool and a size 15 spanner to finish building your bike.
For proper assembly, gears, brakes adjustment and safety, we recommended to have the reassembly of your bicycle completed by a professional bicycle mechanic in your local bike shop. If collecting in store at 72 York Road, Dun Laoghaire this is unnecessary.
Warning: pedals are side specific! The right pedal (R) is different to the left pedal (L). The right pedal attaches to the crank by screwing in a clockwise direction. The left pedal is attached by turning the pedal axle in an anti-clockwise direction.
dlb cycles Ltd accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury caused by negligent assembly by anyone.
We cannot stress more and highly recommend regular check ups and maintenance of your bike to keep it in a safe working condition, suggested is to visit your local bike shop or our store at 72 York Road, Dun Laoghaire about each 3 months. General safety check is free for bikes purchased at our store.
In the unlikely event that you have a defective part, and if it is found to be a manufacturing defect, we will replace the part and send you a new one at our own cost. We accept no responsibility for parts damaged by negligent assembly, transport, misuse, abuse, accident or general wear and tear. However, we do offer to replace any damaged parts this way at our lowest possible rates for life of the bicycle (up to 2 years).
All hired bicycles remain the property of the dlb cycles Ltd and shall not be sold, hired or loaned out by the customer.
The customer acknowledges that the bicycle hired is in good condition and undertakes to return the bicycle and any accessories in that same condition, or to make a payment to the dlb cycles Ltd, immediately on demand, sufficient to return the bicycle to that condition.
Dlb cycles Ltd shall not be liable for any damage or loss arising from the customer's use of the equipment. The customer shall indemnify the dlb cycles Ltd against any claim howsoever arising as a result of the customer's use of the bicycle during the period of hire.
In the event that the bicycle and/or any accessories are lost or stolen the customer shall indemnify the dlb cycles Ltd for the costs of replacing those items. Should the equipment subsequently be returned in a satisfactory condition these moneys will be repaid.
The customer will ensure that the bicycle is adequately secured when not in use and will immediately notify the dlb cycles Ltd or one of its representatives in the event of any theft, loss, breakdown or other occurrence relating to the bicycle or associated accessories.
All moneys due in relation to the hire of bicycles will be added to the rental/tour cost.
Other Activities: The dlb cycles Ltd acts as agent only in respect of all activities, whether or not included in the tour price, which are organised and operated by any other company. Your contract will be directly with the activity provider and subject to their booking conditions.
Transportation: In the event of an accident, the dlb cycles Ltd is not responsible for any personal injury to the customer. The loss, damage or delay of belongings are the responsibility of the customer.
The customer hereby consents to the use of their images and audio/video being used by the dlb cycles Ltd for promotional and non-promotional purposes (ie litigation). If you the customer do not consent to the use of an image or audio/video in which you appear you must inform the dlb cycles Ltd in writing prior to the commencement of any commercial relationship with the company or it's employees.

All repairs are done to best of our knowledge and we cannot guarantee that issues might not arise due to complexity of the machinery and that new parts or additional labor might be needed (i.e. seized parts, rust, wear, other unforeseen damage). Especially If parts are not in harmony i.e. when you use old and new parts together.
Booking in and collection of your bicycle:
you have to provide your first name, phone number and sign off on any work to be done.
you will always be provided with numbered docket and estimate of cost.
you will always be able to agree a delivery timeline and this will be adhered too as much as possible, some circumstances like parts out of stock might prolong this, which you will always be notified about.
you will always be notified of any major (i.e. €15+) changes in cost prior to install and only with your consent these will go ahead.
If you decide to withdraw from agreed services, and they were not yet fulfilled you will be charged €5 per item per 24h storage fee
reversal of work already done is not possible (we cannot turn back time), any incurred labor costs must be paid! Any new parts in their unused state can be returned as per ‘cancellations & return’ policy.

All bicycle manufacturers provide their own warranty terms according to their own T&C.
Our own brand DEMA Bicycles come with a 2 year warranty covering manufacturer’s defects in frame and fork. We also provide you with twice a year free service for 2 years. Parts like tires, tubes, saddles, paint, handlebar tape or grips, brake pads etc. are considered consumable ie not covered by warranty.
Warranty is only valid If you keep to the maintenance schedule: first service at 500km or 2-3 months into riding. Twice a year service while in warranty ie spring, autumn.
Parts and components weren't designed to be weather proof if not explicitly noted! Please use due care when storing your bicycle. Keep it out of rain whenever possible. Never submerge it into water and avoid salts. Always use appropriate wet lubricants and protection spray to prolong life of you components. When cleaning your bicycle always dry it afterwards and re-apply any lubricants and protection sprays.
Corrosion and/or deterioration caused by material fatigue defined as the natural breakdown of materials that occurs after extended use will not be covered under warranty. Warranty claims are not valid if you modify or change your bicycle in any way, and are valid only if your bike has been assembled by a certified mechanic.
Usage during competitive events, circuits or activities other than those for which the bicycle/component has been designed will greatly reduce its useful life and is not covered under warranty. The warranty does not cover any component part that is broken or damaged, by misuse, abuse, neglect, accident or normal wear and tear.
If you experience flat tyre, always use appropriate tools for disassembly of the wheel. We strongly suggest to always visit your local bike shop to do any repairs, by improper self repair you will void your warranty. Or call us to arrange repair at your home or place of work within 10km out of our store at 72 York Road, Dun Laoghaire, even out of hours.
If you bought and New Bicycle online and it was delivered to your door. Warranty will be valid only If you please email proof of professional assembly to firstname.lastname@example.org within 30 days of delivery of your bicycle. If collecting in store at 72 York Road, Dun Laoghaire this is unnecessary and your warranty is valid since the date of purchase.
New Wheels will need to be trued after approximately two-three months or 500 km, whichever happens first, as spokes on a newly built wheel require an initial ‘bedding in’ time. Wheel warranty will be valid only If you please email proof of professional wheel truing to email@example.com.

Under the conditions outlined in the EU Consumer Rights Directive Brick Lane Bikes Ltd operates a 14 day cooling-off returns policy for products that are still in their original condition (i.e. packaging). This allows EU customers to cancel their order up to 14 days after receipt of their goods. If you wish to cancel your order during this 14-day period, please notify us for a returns authorization in writing by letter or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org A telephone call is not sufficient without the express written approval from dlb cycles Ltd.
Upon contacting us, we will provide you with shipping instructions and an address for the return of your goods.
Note: Items returned to the wrong address or without this matching returns form may suffer delays.
The right to return goods to us as mentioned above does NOT apply in the following situations:
• In-store purchases - Goods purchased in our physical store, where customers can physically inspect, assess and in some instances try out/test ride our products.
• Financed Goods - Goods purchased on finance or using cycle scheme vouchers cannot be returned under the 14-days cooling off period. Financed goods are conditional based sales where the consumer is bound to purchase the goods from the outset but do not own the goods until they have fulfilled all conditions of the contract (typically through complete payment of all financial installments).
• Bespoke Items/Special Orders - Any order which has been specified or customized to the customers specifications. This also includes any item which is not typically stocked by dlb cycles Ltd and has been ordered in at the request of the customer.
If you wish to exercise your right to cancel this contract within the cancellation period, you should return the goods to us within 14 days and take reasonable care in doing as detailed in the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).
Item(s) returned after 14 days will only be accepted after deduction of 20% value of the returned product (restocking fee).

Returned items must be in their original packaging and must be undamaged, unused and not trial fitted. Clothing must be unworn and unwashed with tags on if supplied. Shoes must be unworn with no dirt on the sole (or elsewhere) and must come with the original box. For reasons of health and hygiene safety, we are unable to exchange or refund socks and bicycle helmets. We will consider the overall condition of the item/s returned prior to making a refund. We regret that we are unable to accept returns of any bespoke items or items ordered as special orders.
The risk and cost of returning the goods to us shall be accepted by you unless you have notified us that the goods have arrived damaged or faulty and this has been verified by us. If goods are not returned within this period, we will assume that you have withdrawn your right to cancel.
As outline in the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), failure to return items in their original condition will result in deductions from your refund or refusal of a return. As a result, we may make deductions to your refund for any diminution in value of the returned goods where the handling of goods has "gone beyond the sort of handling that might reasonably be allowed in a store".
Returns are normally processed within 2-3 working days and a confirmation email will be sent. Please be advised refunds can take up to 14 working days to process. This return policy does not affect your statutory rights.

There is plenty of opportunity during the consultation process to ensure that the wheels, frame or bike you receive will be a perfect match to your specifications and requirements.

If the item you ordered is out of stock you will be notified by email as soon as possible. We will also let you know when the item should be coming into stock and give you details of other similar products that are in stock at present.

We require full pre-payment for all special order items.
