General Warranty Terms
All 'dlb cycles' bicycles come with a 2 year warranty covering manufacturer’s defects in frame and fork. Parts like tires, tubes, saddles, paint, handlebar tape or grips, brake pads etc. are considered consumable ie. not covered by warranty.
Parts and components weren't designed to be weather proof if not explicitly noted! Please use due care when storing your bicycle. Keep it out of rain whenever possible. Never submerge it into water and avoid salts. Always use appropriate wet lubricants and protection spray to prolong life of you components. When cleaning your bicycle always dry it afterwards and re-apply any lubricants and protection sprays.
Corrosion and/or deterioration caused by material fatigue defined as the natural breakdown of materials that occurs after extended use will not be covered under warranty. Warranty claims are not valid if you modify or change your bicycle in any way, and are valid only if your bike has been assembled by a certified mechanic.
Usage during competitive events, circuits or activities other than those for which the bicycle/component has been designed will greatly reduce its useful life and is not covered under warranty. The warranty does not cover any component part that is broken or damaged, by misuse, abuse, neglect, accident or normal wear and tear.
If you experience flat tyre, always use appropriate tools for disassembly of the wheel. We strongly suggest to always visit your local bike shop to do the repair or exchange of tubes. Or call us, dlb cycles to arrange repair at your home or place of work within 10km out of our store at 72 York Road, Dun Laoghaire, even out of hours (This service is only available to loyalty card holders).
New Bicycle Warranty will be valid If you please email proof of professional assembly to info@dlbcycles.ie within 30 days of delivery of your bicycle. If collecting in store at 72 York Road, Dun Laoghaire this is unnecessary.
New Wheels will need to be trued after approximately two months or 500 km, whichever happens first, as spokes on a newly built wheel require an initial ‘bedding in’ time. Wheel warranty will be valid If you please email proof of professional wheel truing to info@dlbcycles.ie. If collecting in store at 72 York Road, Dun Laoghaire this is unnecessary.
dlb cycles Ltd is not responsible for any labor charges or fees relating to warranty claims.
Assembly Required upon your bicycle arrival
Your bike is partially disassembled for shipment and packed in a shipping carton box. Although packed for shipment, your dlb bicycle will still arrive 90% assembled. Assembly will require attaching pedals, front wheel, handlebars and saddle. You'll need basic multi tool and a size 15 spanner to finish building your bike.
For proper assembly and safety, we recommended to have the reassembly of your bicycle completed by a professional bicycle mechanic in your local bike shop. If collecting in store at 72 York Road, Dun Laoghaire this is unnecessary.
Warning: pedals are side specific! The right pedal (R) is different to the left pedal (L). The right pedal attaches to the crank by screwing in a clockwise direction. The left pedal is attached by turning the pedal axle in an anti-clockwise direction.
dlb cycles Ltd accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury caused by negligent assembly by anyone.
We cannot stress more and highly recommend regular check ups and maintenance of your bike to keep it in a safe working condition, suggested is to visit your local bike shop or our store at 72 York Road, Dun Laoghaire about each 3 months. General safety check is free for bikes purchased at our store.
Defective Bicycle Parts Policy
In the unlikely event that you have a defective part, and if it is found to be a manufacturing defect, we will replace the part and send you a new one at our own cost. We accept no responsibility for parts damaged by negligent assembly, transport, misuse, abuse, accident or general wear and tear. However, we do offer to replace any damaged parts this way at our lowest possible rates for life of the bicycle (up to 2 years).

Rules that apply: To become a Affiliate of dlb cycles Ltd. You have to provide all necessary details for verification purposes. Real name, address, email address connected to your paypal account and picture of bicycle you are currently riding. You have to have a verified paypal account to be able to receive your reward. There is no limit on rewards paid out to one Affiliate. But there is limit on how many can a customer brought by Affiliate receive, one only. Customer has to mention Affiliates name and email in the Order Comments field or in person in store at 72 York Road, Dun Laoghaire at the end of checkouts process otherwise neither reward can be claimed. Rewards will be received upon order finalization, read customer receiving their product.
T&C of DELIVEROO discount
To avail of DELIVEROO 15% discount you have to be currently in work relationship with Deliveroo Ireland Limited. Discount applies on bicycles in category: Men's City Bikes, Ladie's City Bikes (but excludes all electric bicycles) and also applies to Tannus Tyres products. Discount does not apply to any FastTrack repairs/service! There is a list of products at discounted prices specially for Deliveroo Riders which was sent out in company email, it includes several items from safety to security, all prices are subject to change. These are not listed on our website.
Bike hire and Bike tours policies
Bike Hire:
All hired bicycles remain the property of the dlb cycles Ltd and shall not be sold, hired or loaned out by the customer.
The customer acknowledges that the bicycle hired is in good condition and undertakes to return the bicycle and any accessories in that same condition, or to make a payment to the dlb cycles Ltd, immediately on demand, sufficient to return the bicycle to that condition.
Dlb cycles Ltd shall not be liable for any damage or loss arising from the customer's use of the equipment. The customer shall indemnify the dlb cycles Ltd against any claim howsoever arising as a result of the customer's use of the bicycle during the period of hire.
In the event that the bicycle and/or any accessories are lost or stolen the customer shall indemnify the dlb cycles Ltd for the costs of replacing those items. Should the equipment subsequently be returned in a satisfactory condition these moneys will be repaid.
The customer will ensure that the bicycle is adequately secured when not in use and will immediately notify the dlb cycles Ltd or one of its representatives in the event of any theft, loss, breakdown or other occurrence relating to the bicycle or associated accessories.
All moneys due in relation to the hire of bicycles will be added to the tour cost.
Other Activities: The dlb cycles Ltd acts as agent only in respect of all activities, whether or not included in the tour price, which are organised and operated by any other company. Your contract will be directly with the activity provider and subject to their booking conditions.
Transportation: In the event of an accident, the dlb cycles Ltd is not responsible for any personal injury to the customer. The loss, damage or delay of belongings are the responsibility of the customer.
Image and Video Consent: The customer hereby consents to the use of their images and videos being used by the dlb cycles Ltd for promotional and non promotional purposes. If you the customer do not consent to the use of an image or video in which you appear you must inform the dlb cycles Ltd in writing 7 days prior to the commencement of the tour/hire to 72 York Rd, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland. The dlb cycles Ltd reserves the right to use images and videos taken on tours/hire however they wish.
T&C regarding bicycle repairs and bicycle services
All repairs are done to best of our knowledge and we cannot guarantee that issues might not arise due to complexity of the machinery. Especially If parts are not in harmony ie when you use old and new parts together.
Booking in and collection of your bicycle:
- you have to provide your first name, phone number and sign of on any work to be done
- you will always be provided with numbered docket and estimate of cost
- you will always be able to agree a delivery timeline and this will be adhered too as much as possible, some circumstances like parts out of stock might prolonge this, which you will always be notified about
- you will always be notified of any changes in cost prior to install and only with your consent these will go ahead
- you will always be notified upon job being finished by sms
- you have 24h or If otherwise agreed 24h after this to collect your equipment, there is a storage fee in place of €5 for each new 24h period for each piece of equipment, after 14 days your equipment will be put up for sale for amount owed
